Mission Statement

The Morgan Adams Foundation funds kids' cancer research. We have one purpose: to fund the development of the best possible treatments for kids, adolescents and young adults who have cancer.

Description

The Morgan Adams Foundation was created in October of 2003 in honor of Morgan Adams, who lost her life to a brain tumor in 1998 at the age of 6.

- We believe that innovative new research ideas are essential to finding cures for pediatric and adolescent cancers.
- We believe in funding the investigation and development of new and better treatments by providing bridge and seed grants for new scientific ideas.
- We believe that through the development of crucial research partnerships, we will improve outcomes for children and young adults.
- We believe the intersection of science and technology holds significant answers for understanding the causes of pediatric and adolescent cancers.
- We believe that without risk, there cannot be progress, and without progress, our children and young adults will continue to suffer failed outcomes.

The Morgan Adams Foundation (MAF) is a very small group of full-time people who make great accomplishments for the cause of pediatric oncology at Childrens Hospital. MAF recruits a large volunteer force to stage events such as their remarkable Concours d'Elegance each year at Centennial Airport. They are very volunteer-friendly and the full-timers are a wonderful group of people, headed by Joan and Steve who formed the foundation in mmemory of their daughter Morgan. This foundation has become one of my favorite causes, along with Make-A-Wish and Paul Newman's Hole-in-the-Wall Foundation, because they so well serve children and their families who are going through enormously trying times.
