Childcare Basic Play Volunteer at Young Parents Network/ Kirkwood Community College

YPN is seeking individuals who have an imagination and would love to be the sidekick to a young child! We hold prenatal and parenting group meetings on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. year round and provide on-site childcare for children ages 0-5. This opportunity provides flexibility in your schedule. We also welcome and encourage bilingual volunteers as YPN serves Hispanic, African and Afghan families that speak limited to no English. All volunteers must complete an application, interview, and a background check (at no cost to you). Clerical Assistance @ Department for Health & Human Services

YPN has a contract with the Iowa Department of Human Services to provide volunteers to perform various tasks for the department. We are currently in search of individuals that can volunteer their time to help with clerical duties. The duties would include: 1. Assist with scanning, filing, and organizing documents and records. 2. Support staff in managing electronic records and databases. 3. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information. 4. Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry and communication tasks. 5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
