Mission Statement
The mission of Cat's Cradle is to provide no-kill alternatives to feral, stray, and homeless cats across the Shenandoah Valley.
Description
Cat's Cradle has no operating facilities and consists solely of volunteers working from their homes. Cat's Cradle believes there is a better way to deal with the ever-growing population of homeless cats other than euthanasia, such as: 1) a low-cost spay/neuter program, 2) an adoption program, and a 3) a feral trap-neuter-release (TNR) program. In addition, Cat's Cradle has a Health Care Assistance Program understanding there may be circumstances preventing a loving, responsible guardian being able to provide necessary medical care for their pet. When a guardian becomes severely ill, mentally or physically disabled or experiences simple financial hardship, Cat's Cradle will be there to help. Volunteers will work with the guardian to provide transportation and/or financial assistance so the animal receives needed treatment.
