Mission Statement
We are a no-kill shelter caring for ferrets in the Puget Sound area. We always have ferrets ready for adoption, and are always willing to take in any ferret in need of a home.
Description
Our Shelter is committed to placing ferrets in their forever homes. We take in ferrets all year round from animal control agencies, the Humane Society and from the public. We are devoted to providing care and hospice to ferrets of all ages.

Washington Ferret Rescue does an amazing amount of good. I have been there two years and I feel like I am helping the ferrets every day. The people are fun and I have learned so much. I've never owned a ferret so I love being able to be with them.

I've been volunteering with WFRS for several years, and am so happy that there is a ferret shelter with these credentials near Seattle. Because it is staffed entirely by volunteers, our impact on the success of the organization is more keenly welcomed and appreciated- ie, you won't be a small cog here (unless you want to be!) The other volunteers are a quirky, fun bunch with tremendous knowledge and many entertaining personal ferret stories. If you love ferrets or want to know more about them, there isn't a better place to go.

I've been a volunteer for a few months and am impressed with how well this all-volunteer shelter is run. Currently over 90 adoptable ferrets and 100 more fosters receive quality care and another chance.
