Check out our Facebook page for next training dates! https://www.facebook.com/cfsserv/ Confidential Volunteer Advocates are needed to accompany domestic violence and sexual violence victims to hospitals, law enforcement agencies, and courts. Volunteers assist with crisis intervention, advocacy, and hotline calls. You will be trained to offer emotion support, discuss available resources, and create safety plans with victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Volunteers also occasionally attend community and health fairs representing Center For Family Services and the SERV program. Our program serves Camden County, Cumberland County, and Gloucester County in New Jersey. Volunteers must: be 18 years of age have reliable transportation complete 60 hours of training (includes independent hours online) pass the Domestic Violence Advocate training test or Sexual Violence Advocate training test, depending on which training you attend Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) advocates are needed in Gloucester and Cumberland counties and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) advocates are needed in Camden, Gloucester, and Cumberland Counties. Center For Family Services provides the volunteer advocate training program several times throughout the year. We need you! Our Promise Neighborhood Family Success Centers in Camden is looking for volunteers to assist in a variety of ways! The Family Success Center is a community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering place where residents can go for family support, information, and services. We offer fun activities, informational workshops, and opportunities to learn and grow for people of all ages! As a volunteer, you can lead workshops to share your talents and skills! You can assist staff with outreach and promoting activities throughout the community! You can assist families in our computer lab as they complete homework, search for jobs, and build their resumes. We are especially in need of bilingual volunteers to assist in supporting families navigate needed resources. If you have a few hours to dedicate each week to helping families, we can find a place for you! Are you passionate about increasing access to fresh, healthy foods? Join us each month for the Hope Mobile Food Distribution, in partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey! With food insecurity being such a pressing issue in Camden City, we distribute fresh food to families in the community at a local school. As a volunteer, you can help us unload donations, set up tables, and distribute food! We encourage both groups and individuals to volunteer with us as often as you like.

We need you! Our two Family Success Centers in Clementon and Blackwood are looking for volunteers to assist in a variety of ways! We have a need for volunteers to help with the following tasks: Community Outreach Volunteer - Responsible for aiding program with reaching out to the community by attending community meetings/events, canvasing community areas, and assisting Coordinator with partnership development. General/Daily Operations Volunteer - Responsible for general tasks within and around the center. Provides staff with assistance preparing for workshops, events, and activities. Also, to aid with overall organization of the center. Family Engagement Volunteer - Responsible for assisting Family Partner staff members with family engagement and creating a comfortable atmosphere for all participants entering the center.
