Description

The Orpheum Theatre was built in 1916 by the architectural firm C.W. and George Rapp - premiere theatre builders who believed "showplaces should have all the trappings of the rich, but be accessible to all." Today, the former vaudeville and movie house maintains this legacy by playing host to a variety of illustrious musicians and entertainers while providing a "home" for many local performing groups. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our operation and we couldn't make it without them.Volunteering at The Orpheum is easy! We have service opportunities to fit even the busiest schedule - because we know volunteers are some of the busiest people around. You can volunteer every day, every weekend, every month, as often as you choose. As a member of Team Orpheum you will receive recognition and support from our staff. We have special awards for those volunteers who go above and beyond and fun rewards just for volunteering, like one or two private events every year. Training is easy! One meeting every 6-12 month to keeps everyone up to date. Team Orpheum is the name of our quarterly volunteer newsletter. This publication contains information about new volunteer opportunities and keeps you updated on current events at the theatre. We also try to recognize, birthdays, new babies, graduations and promotions as a way to encourage and support our wonderful volunteers. Team Orpheum members represent the best of The Orpheum Theatre because they are our strongest supporters. Team Orpheum is the name of our quarterly volunteer newsletter.
