Mission Statement
Women Helping Women empowers survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking by providing advocacy, support and options for safety and educates the community to create social change.
Description
Founded in 1973, Women Helping Women provides crisis intervention and support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in Hamilton County and survivors of sexual assault in Butler County. The agency also takes a leading role in building awareness in the community to prevent these crimes. We are dedicated to serving women and men of all backgrounds, sexual orientations and abilities.
Survivor services include a 24 hour crisis hotline, one on one crisis intervention, court advocacy, assistance with filing protection orders, support groups, and hospital accompaniment.
Women Helping Women also provides community presentations, professional education, and has a teen dating/sexual violence prevention program in many schools in the area.
Women Helping Women is funded in part the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Butler County United Way, United Way of Oxford, Ohio and Vicinity, and other sources of private and public support.
