Description

Cats Angels, Inc. SPCA was formed in June 2001 to help control the overpopulation of unwanted cats in Nassau County, FL, by an aggressive TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return to Caregiver) and low cost Spay/Neuter program. Cats Angels provides veterinary care to homeless, abandoned and stray cats.
Cats Angels provides care for rescued cats and works aggressively to place them in loving homes and/or returns them to their caregivers. Through public education, creates awareness of the pet overpopulation problem and the need for spaying and neutering both cats and dogs. Cats Angels is a 501(c)(3) charity and receives no government funds of any kind. All of our work is supported by volunteers, grants and private donations.

Living on Amelia Island, I encountered a very thin mama cat in our neighbothood. She was very sweeet but certainly not cared for! I went to cats Angels to see what i could do for her. They highly recommended spaying so she had no further litters. Having a dog, I was not wanting to keep a cat. A neighbor and I agreed to have the spaying performed. They provide the carrier and even coverd her in a baby blanket. What a wonderful group this is!! She was taken to their facility the evening before and I was called when she could be picked up. I kept her for a few days and fed her regularly. She is now a friendly visitor in tha area. I am feeding some of her babies and will perhaps have them neutered also. The service they offer is very reasonable and most worthwhile.
