Mission Statement
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program helps improve the quality of life for people living in residential settings such as skilled nursing homes, assisted living homes, and adult family homes.
Description
The SW WA Long Term Care Ombudsman Program works with residents and their representatives in over 355 adult family homes, 38 assisted living homes, and 13 skilled nursing homes. Currently, 26 volunteers donate numerous hours to assist residents through education of their rights, investigation of their concerns, and possible mediation of their potential complaints with facility staff. We are low-level problem-solvers that seek to resolve issues before they turn into potentially costly licensor investigations.
We are always looking for compassionate and empathetic individuals to join our team!
