Street Outreach Volunteer

StandUp for Kids provides street outreach and advocacy for homeless and at risk youth. We go into the street the same time, same day and same route in an attempt to find and help homeless youth, Outreach volunteers must be able to walk and carry supplies. All volunteers are cleared and trained and no one goes into the street alone. We work with small teams and divide those teams to expand our area and reach more youth. Volunteers must be able to meet our youth where they are and provide a listening ear. We ask that anyone working directly with youth, make a one year commitment of once a week.

Outreach Center Volunteer

StandUp for Kids Tucson needs Outreach Center volunteers to mentor youth, assist in services, welcome and invite young people that are not very trusting of adults. Must be able to meet young people where they are and have patience to work with young people overcoming trauma. Positive and non judgmental attitude is necessary. Outreach center hours are Monday and Wednesday 12:00 - 8:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 - 5:00. Shifts are 2 hours or as long as you want. We ask that you commit to one day a week for at least a few hours.
