Mission Statement

To reduce death and disability from sudden or serious injury and illness in the Commonwealth through planning and development of a comprehensive, coordinated statewide emergency medical services (EMS) system; and provision of other technical assistance and support to enable the EMS community to provide the highest quality emergency medical care possible to those in need.

The OEMS is an highly respectful organiztion that takes pride in their EMT's trainings and are quick to respond to crisis or needs of their volunteer organizations or Volunteers. I am proud to be associated with them. Their leadership is one of high quality throughout the state of Virginia. Although I currently am not volunteering with them, I am taking training courses under OEMS to further my education.
