Evening & Weekend Activities with seniors

Join us on the weekends and in the evenings for small group activities with our residents. We play games, do crosswords, sing-a-longs. Evening hours are 4pm-8pm. Weekends 9am-4pm.

Church Service Companion

A number of our residents enjoy going to Mass and worship services. We are looking for individuals who could transport them to the services, stay with them and then bring them back to their rooms in the Health Care Center. Mass is on Saturdays at 4 p.m.

Activity Department Office Aid

Assist with recording attendance, organizing files of puzzles and monthly games, copying games and puzzles for the lounge, passing out room calendars, one-one documentation, cleaning and organizing cabinets and activity areas. Washing activity linens, organizing activity carts, and taking charge of weekly cleaning schedule. Would also help organize and tidy residents rooms with the resident so their rooms feel like home.

Volunteer in the Health Center

There are all sorts of positions for volunteers from one on one visitation, activity assistants, dining room hostess, pet visits, outing companions, and group assistants. There may be a need to push a wheelchair and do some walking, but nothing with any heavy physical responsibility.

Holiday Party and Special Event Helpers

Through out the year, the Health Care Center hosts holiday parties and special events for the residents. We are looking to have volunteers who might be interested in helping with the parties and/or special events such a Fair Day or Mardi Gras. It would entail three to four hours, helping with set-up through clean up.
