Spanish Speaking Tech Tutor Volunteers Needed! Access to technology opens up doors to endless resources and connections. Many older adults have access to smartphones and computers but do not know how to use them. Here at Vivalon, we offer one-on-one tech tutoring, and the need is so great that we are booking out weeks in advance. We are looking for additional Spanish speaking volunteers to meet this essential need. You don’t have to be an expert in offering a much-needed service to older adults in your community! If you are comfortable using smartphones and computers, join our team of volunteers to share your skills. The ripple effects of your service are endless as you support older adults in using their tech devices to access telehealth, connect with loved ones, and participate in enriching online classes. Vivalon Cafe Volunteer in our new Healthy Aging Campus! The Vivalon Cafe at the new Healthy Aging Campus, is looking for friendly volunteers who are interested in cashiering. You play an important role in making people feel welcome and engaged by interacting with members, staff, and guests that come in to enjoy a healthy meal! Join the fun and make new friends! The Vivalon Café volunteers on average serves our community over 1,000 meals a month. The Cafe is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 1:45 pm. Each volunteer commits to at least one weekly shift from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. It's a fantastic way to engage with the community! There are a variety of roles available to choose from. Volunteer CarePool Drivers Needed! Make a positive difference in someone’s day. Every month our, volunteers give approximately150 rides to our participants. Vivalon needs volunteer drivers to provide rides to ambulatory adults 65 and older going to medical appointments, the pharmacy, or grocery shopping. This is an opportunity that offers a flexible schedule for all volunteers. The ride lengths are about 2-3 hours for each round trip. Therefore, we ask for a minimum of one three-hour shift per week. Requirements: A valid California Driver’s License, a clean DMV report, a reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance is needed. Connection Works Wonders! We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of over 50 volunteers. Here's what you need to know: Commitment: We ask for a commitment of one shift per week. Delivery Days: Meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Shifts: Vivalon offers morning shifts (9:00 am-12:00 pm) or afternoon routes (1:00 pm-4:00 pm). Each route takes approximately 3 hours. Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursement is available. Driver Requirements: Must be 18 and over and have had their license for at least 2 years.
