Help seniors in your community get the groceries they need. Our clients are not able to grocery shop for themselves, so this service is vital. We shop in Broomfield every Wednesday morning from 7 to 10 am. This is a great opportunity for you to give back while working with a great community of volunteers. We are specifically looking for a volunteer to help Double Check the groceries to ensure clients receive the right items. This is a perfect fit for someone who is detail oriented. All Volunteers must complete an application and orientation before volunteering.

As seniors try to stay in their homes longer, yard work is often one of the first tasks that become very difficult for a senior to keep up with. This can cause fines from the city or HOA, bad feelings with neighbors who might not want to see their unsightly yards- neighbors a senior might have to rely on in an emergency, and a lessening of quality of life. Maybe you've moved from a house with a yard to an apartment? Or maybe you just want to volunteer outside and get a bit of physical activity while helping out a neighbor? Cultivate's Yardbusters program is designed to work with individual volunteers, families and groups. This volunteer opportunity is located throughout Boulder County.

Are you interested in helping those who served? Are you a veteran yourself? Are you a family member of a veteran? Each day, more and more military families and veterans are having trouble getting to their medical appointments in Colorado. Can you help? Our volunteers drive their own cars to the appointments but are given mileage reimbursements, and in some cases, car maintenance help for taking veterans or their family members who have transportation or mobility problems to their doctor appointments. This is a very flexible volunteer experience! Just sign up online for the day, time and location that fits your schedule! This is a wonderful way to give back and meet some of the greatest people! While driving, you get to learn so much about their service, about their life experiences, and so much more! If you have a few hours a month, don't want to be tied down to a specific time or place, this is the volunteer experience for you.

For 50 years, Cultivate has dedicated itself to helping seniors flourish through active engagement with their communities. Volunteers can work directly with seniors or in other program support positions. Some people volunteer for one day; others sign on for years. Volunteers are always welcome! Our volunteers support our senior neighbors through the following programs:
By providing services at no cost, Cultivate helps seniors remain independent, yet connected, within their communities. Beyond the medical rides, groceries or other services, Cultivate volunteers provide something even more transformational - reprieve from isolation. Both clients and volunteers benefit from the socialization with one another, and family members enjoy peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are receiving much needed services from caring members of the community.
