Mission Statement

The mission of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as support to their caregivers. Heartland Hospice also shares the mission of its parent company Gentiva which is to provide exceptional care with empathy for our patients and their families so they may live with comfort, dignity, and respect.

Description

Heartland Hospice of the Gentiva company is a dedicated hospice, palliative, and personal care company driving improved access, equity, and quality of care for patients. The company’s employees and caregivers are dedicated to offering clarity, comfort, and companionship while delivering high-quality care to all patients. The quality of life for those that Heartland Hospice serves is enhanced through palliative and specialized supportive cared designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, social and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers.

Volunteers are the heart of the hospice team and Heartland Hospice depends on volunteers to help us provide the extra love and care that our patients and their families need at this time in their lives. Hospice volunteers are oriented to the hospice program as well as the hospice philosophy and goals of caring to ensure that they have the skills needed to assist patients and their families. Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical compassionate help whether it is running errands, staying with the patient so family members can take a break, reading to a patient, or holding someone’s hand. Heartland Hospice values and appreciates the caring volunteers who support our patients and families. Volunteer today!
