Mission Statement

Dedicated to lifelong learning and anchored by our rich collections, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History engages our diverse community through creative, vibrant programs and exhibits interpreting science and the stories of Texas and the Southwest.

Description

With the opening of the new 166,000 square-foot Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in November 2009, the Museum became the largest museum in Fort Worth's famed Cultural District.

The new Museum's environment of learning comprises state-of-the-art interactive exhibitions and components including: the OMNI Theater (IMAX Dome), Noble Planetarium, Cattle Raisers Museum, Fort Worth Children's Museum, DinoLabs, Innovation Studios, Special Exhibitions Gallery and much more!

Although its name, location, size, and scope have changed dramatically since opneing in 1941, the Museum still serves a similar purpose: to provide an extraordinary learning environment to the community.
