Sawgrass Nature Center Animal Care

Flexible Schedule | Coral Springs, FL 33065

Volunteers for this opportunity must be at least 18 years old and must be available for ONE weekly shift. Shifts are available Monday - Sunday and are scheduled for 10 am - 2 pm. You will be working in the Wildlife Hospital under the supervision of the Hospital Director and their staff. Most tasks performed by hospital volunteers fall under animal care/ husbandry. Tasks include cage cleaning, food prep, diet and water changing, laundry, and dishwashing. Most of the work is outdoors. You must be able to work in all kinds of weather. Rain or shine our animals need to be cared for! If you are interested in becoming a part of our volunteer team please complete this volunteer application. Visitor's Center Volunteer

Flexible Schedule | Coral Springs, FL 33065

Work at the Sawgrass Nature Center Visitor's Center, greeting visitors, answering questions, and providing information about the center. Volunteers will also help maintain the visitor experience by helping to keep the visitor's center clean and tidy. This includes replenishing the bathrooms with toilet paper and paper towels and doing some light cleaning such as taking out the trash, sweeping, and mopping. Other tasks may be added as needed.

Assist with creating and editing content to be shared by Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital in internal and external communications. This can be done remotely but does require the volunteer to have access to internet and email. Duties include: one-time media creation opportunities, newsletter contributions, and more.
