Description

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is an organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Girls in this organization participate in service to the community. They attend two meetings a month (1st and 3rd Saturday mornings) at the San Jose Masonic Center. During the meetings the girls will plan events for community service, fun, membership and fund-raising. Meetings are run by the girls with help from an adult advisory board. The girls have some memorization work for meetings and initiation of new members. This is a great tool in helping with public speaking and organizational skills for school and life. In Rainbow a girl learns responsibility and has the opportunity to make life long friends.
