Need Community Service hours for school, graduation, or your college application? The Tacoma Rescue Mission has flexible, fun, rewarding volunteer opportunities around Tacoma. We have many options including: Kitchen (no experience necessary!) Admin work (searching a database and making some simple changes) Litter clean up Weeding Sorting at the Donation Center, Mission Thrift store, or Clothing Closet More! Volunteers 8-13 years old must have a parent/guardian with them; volunteers 14+ can volunteer on their own. For more information, click on the "I Want to Help" button above. Volunteer in the kitchen with your family, friends, classmates, or coworkers. Our Family Campus (emergency shelter for families with children under 18) serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the year and would love some more help. No experience required. Volunteers will do a variety of things, which may include cooking, chopping, serving, washing dishes, organizing, etc. There's always something to do! There are 5 spots available for each shift and the minimum age to volunteer is 8, which makes it a perfect family activity. Need some time off from studying? Grab some friends from your dorm or class and spend a few hours volunteering at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. We serve over 1,000 meals each day and can use lots of volunteer help in our kitchens (up to 8 volunteers per shift). No experience needed!
