Mission Statement
HELP USA, founded in 1986, is the nation's largest builder, developer and operator of transitional housing with comprehensive, on-site human services for the homeless. HELP USA's mission is help those who are homeless and others in need become and remain self-reliant. Through the development of quality housing with support services, including job training and placement programs, HELP USA strives to enable its residents to become independent and productive citizens. HELP USA breaks the cycle of dependency by addressing its underlying causes in a way which respects the dignity of those we serve -- by helping them to help themselves.
Description
Since 1986, HELP USA has served more than 200,000 individuals.HELP USA has 19 facilities located throughout the New York Metropolitan area. In addition, HELP USA is sharing its unique model with cities across the nation and has projects in Philadelphia, Houston, Newark, Las Vegas and Buffalo. On-site services include child care, medical services, domestic violence counseling, substance abuse counseling, and education and employment programs.
