SEW, KNIT, CROCHET, TIE! We need help making blankets to comfort the children and teens near Peoria, AZ. You can make blankets from home and drop them off to me. I will get them delivered locally. We make blankets and give them to children and teens who need a reminder that they matter, are not invisible, worthy of love, and that someone cares. Ill, abused, homeless, experiencing trauma. Blankets, or "Binkies" as they're called, are given to children and teens in need of comfort. T Any child or teen who needs a reminder that they matter can receive a blanket. But we need blankets to do this! Blankets can be anywhere from 36"x36" (preemies and babies) up to a twin-sized blanket, 45"x60" (children and teens - those are the ones we ALWAYS NEED - the BIG ONES for BIG KIDS). Blankets can be sewn, crocheted, knitted, or quilted! We make blankets and give them to children and teens who need a reminder that they matter, are not invisible, worthy of love, and that someone cares. Ill, abused, homeless, experiencing trauma. Blankets can be anywhere from 36"x36" (preemies and babies) up to a twin-sized blanket, 45"x60" (children and teens - those are the ones we ALWAYS NEED - the BIG ONES for BIG KIDS). Blankets can be sewn, crocheted, knitted, or quilted! Blankets, or "Binkies" as they're called, are delivered to our Binky Patrol chapters across the U.S. The Area Coordinators then organize a group of people to sew labels onto each blanket. Once the labels are on, the blankets are delivered by yet more volunteers to local hospitals, crisis centers, police and fire departments, and other local agencies. The blankets are then given to children and teens in need of comfort. If you want to help us more, you can also have us send you labels to add and perhaps - if there is no chapter near you, you can deliver them to a local group that really needs them. We work with social services in most states and the groups they are tied to. We are also MrBallen.Foundation partners and tied to all of the organizations they serve. Mission Statement

Binky Patrol is devoted to reaching out to needy children, including victims of violent crimes, drug-addicted, ill, homeless, neglected, abused, or children experiencing trauma in any way. Binky Patrol volunteers bring a caring, loving touch by creating and delivering handmade blankets, "binkies", to enrich the children's lives and to meet their most basic needs of warmth, security and comfort. Binky Patrol's unique way of touching a child's life includes many mediums. To reach them, "binkies" are distributed through hospitals, shelters, other service organizations, and social service agencies. "Binkies" are to be given as gifts and are not recycled in the agencies.

Description

Binky Patrol's volunteers as well as chapter leaders make blankets which can be crocheted, sewn, knitted, tied, and even quilted for ill and traumatized children.

This program is a fun way to teach kids how they can help out needy kids.It's hard for kids to find ways to help because of their age. Samantha makes it enjoyable at the meetings the kids have fun helping the community.Everyone deserves a warm hug from a comfy blanket.Binky Patrol is a great way to help the community no matter the age!
