StreetWise's mission is to empower men and women who are homeless, or at risk of becoming so, as they work towards gainful employment and self-sufficiency.

Description

StreetWise is a weekly, general-interest newspaper sold by some of Chicago's homeless. Vendors purchase the paper for 35 cents and sell it for $1, earning 65 cents for each paper sold. SteetWise also offers vendors a Work Empowerment Center where they have access to the Internet, a library and computer and job-readiness classes.
