I would recommend this organization to a friend because I believe that this organization has the possibility to help many people who struggle with various forms of mental illness, and be a stepping stone to a better life.

I believe it's a great opportunity for someone to help someone else who's less fortunate.

I was assuming that someone would reach out to me, but that did not happen. So I will try again.

This organization and its mission seems very counter-intuitive. Especially with this message that they are preaching on this post. If you want more diverse main characters in books then why don't you strive to inspire the youth of these underrepresented communities to take up literature, and creative writing to write books with characters that look like them? Who do you think is writing these books with "straight white able-bodied men" as main characters? Maybe White authors are? Why's that a problem that authors are writing books with characters that look like them? Since you said that " What young people see around them positively or negatively shapes their expectations for themselves and for each other." "Representation matters" that's the message you are trying to send. And its an important one but you seem to be trying to bring down other authors for doing exactly what you are preaching! Try to build other people up with out bring other people down.

I would recommend this organization to a friend because they gave me a chance to speak out on a topic that I’ve always wanted to know more about and try to make Chang toward so why not share.

Clothes that I no longer use, if discarded, will pollute the environment. This activity is created not only to benefit the environment but also to benefit others.

well organized and made volunteering simple and easy. But still waiting after a couple weeks for certificate of completion of volunteer work. My son had to do a community service project for martial arts and it can not be turned in with out the certificate. We are Patiently waiting.

I really liked the quiz I took on dosomething.org. It was very informative, and gave me more insight on things that perpetuate colorism in today's society.

This site narrows opportunities down for minors since so many organizations only want volunteers that are 18 years of age or older. This site makes easier for anyone to participate. Great choices to get involved in.

I had the opportunity to learn and take action for causes that may have otherwise go without being talked about in my community.
