Proceed with caution. I was provided a wishlist of items. On calls with the coordinator, I explained that since it was cold I had gotten a flannel sheets. I also provided a microwave and bought two sets of light bulbs. The quantity and worth of the items were more than what was asked on the wishlist and could have been sold if the family chose. I dropped the items off and the team graciously accepted them. However, the next day I received a disheartening email saying I did not follow their program. I called the coordinator for further explanation, but he responded in a very peculiar & condescending manner. Had he offered a kind approach like: 'we appreciate your items but the family really needed this, do you think you could provide it?' I would have been happy to help. Instead he was rude. I explained I provided what I could, useful items for the long term, and at no point during our calls did he reference the wishlist.
