Description
What is 4-H?
4-H is a youth development education program of Penn State Cooperative Extension. It is an informal education program for youth between the ages of 8 and 19. There is also a Cloverbuds Program for aspiring 4-H members ages 5-8.
4-H in Dauphin County
Each year, the 4-H/ Youth Development Program in Dauphin County reaches nearly 3,500 young people from the area. Dauphin County 4-H'ers participate in a variety of projects including textiles, archery, bicycling, rocketry, foods and nutrition, embryology and animal science. There are more than 25 4-H clubs and special interest groups in Dauphin County to meet the needs of local youth.
