Mission Statement
The VCWC is a non-profit organization of women which offers an opportunity for community service and fellowship.
Our mission is to promote education through our scholarship program and to promote literacy through our children's book program.
Our club also serves the public through community service including civic and social activities
Description
The Valley Center Women's Club's focus is directed to Education, Women's Issues, Children and Community needs.
We provide scholarships for graduating senior high school women and women continuing their education to pursue a better life for themselves and their families. We support literacy and literature by providing books for the less privileged through First Books and Friends of the Valley Center Library. We support the Arts through our District Art Festival, Valley Center Museum and the Maxine Theater. We support conservation through Penny Pines which is an opportunity to provide funds for reforestation;recycling paper and plastic and water conservation. We support women's health, Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Research, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanities, Humane Society and coupons for Military Families as well as the St. Stephens Catholic Church, Valley Center Community Church.
The Women's Club participates in community events for the betterment of the community.
