Description

Locally, the 20th Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program supports volunteers advocating for children in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. 20th Circuit staff includes Program Attorneys and Child Advocacy Coordinators located in four offices in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, and LaBelle, to support local volunteer Guardians ad Litem.

The Program is committed to providing high quality, proactive advocacy through highly trained staff-supported volunteers who often are the only consistent voice for a child's best interests.

Speaking up for an abused, neglected or abandoned child not only is a great way to help local children, but has a lot of benefits to the volunteer. . .great for life-long learners, staying relevant in retirement by knowing what's happening in the community, and volunteering on your own time--supported by staff. I'm a world traveler;, and just plan my volunteer time around what I need to do. You do have to be 21 and be a FL resident. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves kids--these kids are the most vulnerable and need smart adults to jump in and advocate!
