Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of low to-moderate income families who live in the inner-city neighborhoods of Detroit, Michigan. We are engaged in our fall clean up and could utilize some helping hands from Corporate Employee Volunteer teams who enjoy fall weather and landscape work: grass cutting, edging, raking and bagging of leaves. This represents an opportunity for Employee Volunteer Teams to come out for 3 to 4 hours to help a community very much in need and have fun while doing so, engage with co-workers outside of work and contribute byway of philanthropic giving. Simply contact us with potential days and times your Team might be available. We have availability of all tools needed.

Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of low to moderate-income families who live in Detroit, MI. We are trying to bring stabilization, revitalization, and sustainability to an inner-city Detroit neighborhood located on the N.E. Side of Detroit (Mound & E. 8 Mile). UDC would be delighted to have individuals who have been assigned to perform community service hours by the courts to join us. We have a standing volunteer events every Saturday during spring to last week of fall from the hours of 9 am to 1 pm. If you enjoy outdoor work - landscaping or working on the rehab of houses please connect us. Also, if you have any specialized skills that may be of benefit to UDC, we may be open to allowing you to utilize them to fill your community service hours. Currently, UDC is transforming dilapidated vacant lots into welcoming clean, beautiful green spaces for the tranquility, enjoyment of nearby residents. In addition for purposes of hosting many outdoor activities and programs curtailed to exponentially improve the quality of life for residents. We welcome some additional helping hands to aid in our efforts from local corporate employee volunteer teams. UDC could utilize help with removal of debris/trash, soil leveling, mowing, raking, fertilizing, seeding and spreading of straw. This represents an opportunity for corporations to come out and lend a helping hand to a community very much in need, have fun and engage with employees outside of work and contribute byway of philanthropic giving. Virtual Opportunity
Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for low to moderate-income families who live in the inner-city neighborhoods of Detroit. UDC is trying to bring stabilization, revitalization, and sustainability to a 9-block inner-city neighborhood on the N.E. Side of Detroit. We have several houses we intend to rehab for which we could utilize some additional helping hands with working towards getting the landscapes well-manicured. Task include: Task include: grass cutting, trimming of bushes, weed whacking, cutting down of vegetation, and debris removal. We welcome participation from individuals, civic organizations, corporations, fraternities and sororities, churches, etc. Come out for 3.5 hours of fun coupled with an opportunity to volunteer and give back while having fun to an inner-city Detroit community very much in need of help. UDC is open to groups scheduling the day and duration of time for a volunteer event. We will provide all equipment and tools.

We are focused and dedicated to bringing stabilization, revitalization and sustainability to a 9-block area on the N.E. Side. UDC is in the initial phases of rehabbing a house on and we welcome the opportunity to have volunteers to lend a helping hand to aid in our efforts. We could use some help with clean-up in preparation for renovations and landscape. We believe giving back is a great opportunity to engage with others. We would be delighted to have individuals, groups, civic organization, high schools, corporations, churches, sororities and fraternities join in our efforts to make a difference in the life of others for a couple of hours and have fun doing so. All tools and supplies needed will be provided by UDC.
