Calling all awesome folks! The Rose City Rollers need a few extra hands for some fun bout support. Front Entrance volunteers scan tickets, hand out wristbands, stamp hands, and sell tickets. Calling all awesome folks! The Rose City Rollers need a few extra hands for some fun bout support. Our easiest (and most fashionable) role is ushering-aka 'Yellow Shirting,' thanks to the bold yellow shirts or vests event staff rock! You'll be helping the front entrance check people in, checking wristbands, chatting with fans, and helping people find their seats, the Plow Stop Bar, the food truck, or bathrooms. It’s super easy, and the best part? You get to watch part of the bout while you're at it! Interested? Drop a comment, and we'll reach out with more information. Provide play-by-play announcing for RCR bouts, coupled with colorful commenting with the goal to inform fans as to what is going on in the game, who the players are and why they should love derby. Focus on the Fans Do as much play by play as possible and as consistently as possible -the goal should be to explain the game to the point that a person could understand from your commentating what's going on without being in the room Make sure to communicate what's going on officiating wise - officials will do their best to keep things moving and let announcers know what's going on. Tell the fans who to focus on - play up "stars" and inherent conflict in order to help the fans feel connected to the players Promote sponsors based on info provide by RCR Sponsorship Chair Know when to be quiet - silence can have a huge impact

The Rose City Rollers are the largest league in the world, and we need your help as we host over 50 games a year! Our Bout Medics work in teams of 2, all supplies are provided. You'll have the best seats in the Hangar during our derby games and provide medical support to skaters, event staff, and fans as needed. Requirements: Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC), Certified First Responder (CFR), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-A, EMT-B, EMT-P), Nurses (NP, LPN, RN), or Medical Doctor (MD). Orthopedic and/or emergency medical experience is a bonus. Time Commitment Required: The estimated time commitment is 4 hours per event If you are interested, email volunteer@rosecityrollers with a summary of your relevant experience, and a list of certifications. There will be 13 teams from around the world (France, Sweden, Canada, Australia, USA). 16 Games. 3 epic days. Medics will have access to the Hospitality Room (snacks, beverages, lunch/dinner), a day pass for every day they are staffed, and we'll have an ambulance on site.
