Did you know that you can shop while helping low-income families achieve their dreams of homeownership? We are looking for people to help our store run smoothly. As a Merchandise Preparation Assistant, you will get to see all of our merchandise that we are getting in while you volunteer. It's a win-win! Volunteer Shifts (flexibility is available) Monday-Friday: 10 am-2 pm & 2 pm-6 pm Saturday: 9 am-1 pm & 1 pm-5 pm Merchandise Prep Roles & Responsibilities: * Customer Service -Answer customer and donor questions as needed -Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise * Merchandising -Price, organize, and place merchandise in appropriate departments -Clean merchandise * Donation Receiving -Unload donations -Fill out donation slips Desired Skills & Experience * 14 & 15, volunteer with a parent or guardian * Ages 16+ may volunteer on their own * Cheerful and upbeat customer service skills * Staff support is always available to assist with questions What’s in it for you? * Fun environment * Shopping for your own home improvement needs * Free snacks and cookies!

If you have a big heart and a strong back, you can help low-income families achieve their dreams of homeownership! We go out and pick up donations in the community from businesses and residential areas. As a Donation Pick Up Assistant, you will ride along with our Truck Driver to help load and unload these donations. Volunteer Shifts Residential and Business pickups: Monday / Wednesday / Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 p.m or until all the locations have been picked up at. Two Saturdays per month. Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities * Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in community * Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner) * Load donations onto truck * Fill out donation slips * Answer truck phone and call donors before pickups * Ability to clearly explain ReStore’s mission * Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore Desired Skills & Experience * Age 18+ * Able to do heavy lifting (100+ lbs) * Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service Training & Resources provided * ½ hour orientation * Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pickups What’s in it for you? * Free workout * A free ride in the ReStore truck * Free snacks and cookies!

Did you know that you can raise money to help low-income families achieve their dreams of homeownership, even if you don’t have money to spare? That's right, help us raise money by becoming a cashier! After every shift you're welcome to see how much money you raised! Volunteer Shifts (flexibility is available) Monday-Friday: 10 am-2 pm & 2 pm-6 pm Saturday: 9 am-1 pm & 1:00 to 3:00 & 3:00 to 5:00 Cashier Roles & Responsibilities * Ring up sales * Assist with answering phone calls, customer & donor questions as needed * Fill out necessary paperwork for sold tags * Assist with pricing and sorting smaller items * Ability to explain ReStore policies and procedures Desired Skills & Experience * Age 18+ * Cheerful and upbeat customer service skills * Register experience preferred, but not required Training & Resources provided * 1 hour orientation * 2-4 hour training with ReStore staff member or experienced volunteer * To become comfortable with register operations, it is suggested to volunteering more than once a month * Staff support is always available to assist with questions What’s in it for you? * Fun environment * Shopping for your own home improvement needs * Free snacks and cookies!

It is a retail operation providing a valuable source of cash flow through the sale of donated building materials. The revenue supports the construction of Habitat for Humanity homes to help families in need in the Green Bay area.
Description
ReStore accepts donations of new, gently used and salvaged building materials from individuals, retailers, businesses, contactors, remodelers, and manufacturers. These good quality items are sold to the general public at a fraction of retail prices, with all proceeds going to Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.
