The Rappahannock Area Court Appointed Special Advocate program is one of the best volunteer opportunities for people who want to make an actual difference in someone's life. You are a hands on advocate for children who are involved in cases of suspected child abuse and neglect. You serve as an extra set of eyes and ears for the judge on the case and most importantly, you serve as a voice for the child in court. The Rappahannock Area Court Appointed Special Advocate program provides extensive initial training as well as on going in-service training for all volunteers. The volunteer coordinators/case managers provide excellent guidance and direction as necessary on all cases assigned. If you want to know you are making a difference - this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
