Mission Statement
The elected officials and staff of Avon Township are committed to serving local residents' needs and responding to local issues. Avon Township serves over 55,000 residents. Within its borders are all or part of the Villages of Grayslake, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Park, Hainesville, Third Lake, and the unincorporated areas around these communities.
Description
Clients may come to the food pantry once a month to receive enough food to feed their family for three days. All types of food, including packaged, frozen and fresh, are distributed based on availability. In addition, clients are furnished, on request, paper goods and household and personal care products if they are available. We refer clients needing clothing and furniture to other area agencies.

There's no reward quite as complete as the gratification that comes from knowing you've helped somebody in need. I have experienced that volunteering at Avon Township Food Pantry. But one of the unexpected benefits of volunteering is the joy of camaraderie that comes from working with other volunteers. Merely two hours a week of the time and talents of a reliable volunteer represents a valuable contribution to this worthy cause.
