The docents of the Seal Conservancy are dedicated to the well being of the harbor seals living at a very urban beach in La Jolla where many visitors enjoy viewing them daily. The docents are knowledgeable in the seal behavior and needs and so enhance the unaware visitors experience. They have been invaluable in winning the beach closure for the pupping season as approved by the San Diego City Council and the California Coastal Commission. Besides that, they are friendly and helpful in providing information about the local scene.
