Help with EDUCATION classes at Alzheimer's San Diego!

Support Alzheimer's San Diego education and outreach throughout the county: Health fairs - staff information booth, hand out materials, answer questions Assist with education programs - support the Education Department at classes and workshops Assist with various other projects, as needed Volunteers should be able to commit to a minimum of 2-4 hours per month and have the ability to pick up, set up and then drop off booth materials when needed. The office is located at 3635 Ruffin Road #300, San Diego 92123. Volunteers must be Covid-vaccinated.

Be a COMPANION VOLUNTEER to an individual with Alzheimer's

Companion Volunteers provide in-home support to caregivers of adults with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Volunteers will provide companionship, socialization, and supervision for individuals with dementia, allowing their caregiver to enjoy a break, go to appointments or engage in other activities that contribute to reducing their stress level. All participants must be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Are you looking for an impactful but flexible volunteer opportunity? Volunteers are needed to provide Food Bank deliveries and transportation for people with dementia who live alone. Help make a difference in the lives of people who have little to no support. VITALZ volunteer drivers will use their own vehicles to: Make Food Bank deliveries (or) Provide transportation to medical appointments, social gatherings, and other destinations (or) Assist with grocery shopping Volunteers may choose one or all areas in which to assist solo ager clients, who are individuals with dementia who live alone and desperately need such critical supports. This position is very flexible, requiring only one delivery or drive per month, and is a wonderful new way to help someone in your community get the in-person support they need.
