CommunityHealth is a free health clinic serving the low-income, uninsured. At CommunityHealth, we rely on generous volunteer interpreters to make sure our Polish-speaking patients have the opportunity to communicate fully and openly with their care providers, and that our providers can provide the full quality of care regardless of language barriers. Polish interpreters should be fluent in both Polish and English, and will have the unique opportunity to assist medical providers and patients in the exam room, for a variety of appointment types, including primary care, dental, and over 20 specialties. Volunteers commit to at least two four-hour shifts per month for at least one year, with the option to do more. Training is provided, along with resources for learning medical vocabulary, but fluency is a must! At CommunityHealth, we rely on generous volunteer pharmacy technicians to keep up with prescription refills for the patients we serve. We are able to provide these patients with free meds and refills in our full onsite pharmacy. Pharmacy technicians must be licensed, in pharmacy school, or working as a pharmacy technician. Volunteers commit to at least two four-hour shifts per month for at least one year, with the option to do more. Training is provided, along with shadow shifts to be sure you feel comfortable! Virtual Opportunity

Spanish interpreters should be fluent in both Spanish and English, and will have the unique opportunity to assist medical providers and patients in the exam room, for a variety of appointment types, including primary care, dental, and over 20 specialties. Volunteers commit to at least two four-hour shifts per month for at least one year, with the option to do more. Training on medical vocabulary is provided, but basic fluency is a must! In response to COVID-19, our volunteer interpreters are currently serving remotely, by phone. The program will stay remote, by phone indefinitely as we monitor the pandemic.
