Senior Friendship Centers is looking for a volunteer with a love of line dancing to engage seniors in dancing! Line dancing is a popular program offered in our Sarasota Activity Center. We are looking for someone with an engaging personality, the ability to instruct others, and knowledge of line dancing who enjoys interacting with seniors. Schedule: Ideally 1-hour class offered weekly on Mondays 11:00am - 12:00pm Requirements: Ability to teach multiple line dances. Able to reliably commit to a weekly program. We are looking for volunteers with an interest in getting to know and building relationships with our senior lunch patrons. DUTIES: Greet, welcome, and engage with the arriving seniors, making them feel welcome. Ensure current lunch participant signs in and assist new participants with enrollment paperwork. Help with light set-up and cleaning such as rolling silverware, wiping tables, setting out food, and other light duties. We are looking for a volunteer each day who can help with prep and clean-up by rolling silverware, wiping tables, and other light duties, as well as help greet, welcome, and engage with the arriving seniors and ensure they each sign in. Lunch is served daily, and we have many regular attendees. We are looking for volunteers who would enjoy getting to know and building relationships with our lunch patrons.
