Mission Statement

Evanston Northwesten Healthcare is an enterprise formed to promote the health of the commumity it serves by employing modern technology and expertise. The delivery of health care for our patients is provided in a wide range of inpatient and ambulatory health care settings, community-wide. Significant support for residents who may not be able to pay the entire cost of their care is an integral part of this community responsibility. The community is defined as Northeastern Illinois and its environs. In support of its primary mission of patient care, the corporation engages in a wide range of continuing education, research and other allied health trainning programs. This statement recognizes the Corporation's need to maintain finacial viability to meet its long-term committment to the community to have available healthcare resourses for their use. It further recognizes the responsibility of the Board of Directors and management to keep the Corporation's assets technologically current for this purpose. This includes the cultivation and development of our physicians, employees, and other resources to assure orderly prudent growth of services and facilities.
