About: ACCESS is looking for a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and a great personality. This volunteer should be able to assist staff with a variety of tasks from providing professional support via phone, mail and email to being comfortable with computers, general office tasks and overall, being able to meet the needs of others. Tasks may include but not limited to: Research Assist with bulk mailings Assist with donor thank you letters Keeping track of various details inside Microsoft Office programs Requirements: Must be 18 years or older Must pass a background check Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office Using computers to generate documents Handling office tasks, such as filing, sorting and shredding paperwork Data entry & working with various platforms and systems Maintain polite & professional communication via phone, email and mail Other duties as assigned Impact: ACCESS staff will be able to work more efficiently to meet agency goals, assist clients, and expand initiatives. Volunteers will have an opportunity to use existing skills in new ways and will also get to meet new people in the community and continue their professional development.

About: The foodbank assistant volunteer will help load, unload & store weekly food deliveries. You would travel to the Foodbank, Dollar General, Sam's Club, and other community partners who provide ACCESS with food alongside an ACCESS staff member to help load vehicles and unload once returning to the shelter. Requirements: Clean driving record Background check Lifting, bending and carrying items up and downstairs Impact: This volunteer will help ACCESS keep our food pantries stocked

About: This ideal volunteer will assist residents while shopping by locating the merchandise they like, replenish merchandise when it is low, organize areas of the boutique where and when needed, merchandise the boutique’s products, and clean. This can be used as a great self-esteem building experience for our residents.

About: This volunteer will help sort, catalog & store all in-kind donations in the appropriate storage areas throughout the shelter. About: This volunteer will assist our Building & Maintenance Coordinator with various tasks throughout the shelter. There will be lifting, bending and carrying items up and down stairs. Other tasks include but are not limited to: Assist with building updates (i.e. replacing furniture, painting, installing new building features/structures etc...)
