Working to end childhood hunger by helping our neighbors in need in Dorchester County and beyond.
Description
We provide weekend food for children in our county who are food-insecure by providing bags of non-perishable food to students attending Dorchester County Public Schools. We are a year-round program and work with summer programs for at-risk children. We also mange a food pantry in a small town, Vienna, MD in our county available to anyone needing food resources. That serves primarily families and older adults and about 150 households visit every week, We believe access to nutritious food is a basic human right. All food we provide is free and available to everyone.
