Mission Statement
Feline Rescue Foundation of Alberta (FRFA) is a "no-kill" shelter located in Calgary, has been operating since 2000. FRFA’s mandate is to provide rescue, rehabilitation, re-homing or sanctuary for feral, abused and abandoned street cats and kittens.
Description
FRFA's mission is to prevent animal suffering and critical overpopulation through spaying and neutering. All cats and kittens we rescue are vaccinated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and provided with identification. The injured and ill are treated. Cats are housed at FRFA’s shelter until they can be adopted into forever homes, and sanctuary is provided for those unlikely to be adopted. We provide free spay/neuter for low income cat owners and those caring for feral colonies. In addition we assist seniors and low income cat owners with emergency care or assistance with crisis situations.
