Volunteer in the Emergency Department Help ease the experience of patients and their families in our busy Emergency Department. As a volunteer, you may serve as a liaison between the waiting area and the ER, or assist staff with errands, allowing them to focus on patient care. 2. Staff a Reception Desk As a volunteer at the reception desk, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. Greet them with a smile, answer phone calls, give directions, and help staff with administrative tasks - all while creating a warm and welcoming environment. 3. Support our surgical waiting lounges Be there for families of patients undergoing surgery or in intensive care. Volunteers in these lounges provide vital updates and offer emotional support, helping families feel more informed and connected during stressful times. 4. Provide Clerical Support Behind the scenes, many volunteers lend a hand with clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and administrative support across various departments. This vital work ensures that our operations run efficiently and that we can provide the best care possible for our patients. 5. And more!
