Emergency Energy (EE) is seeking a Post Graduate Research Associate with interest in research driven climate change and risks, health, and community-driven projects in addressing needs for underserved communities in developing countries . Skills in qualitative and quantitative research (data collection and analysis), writing and reporting are required. Specific responsibilities would include: In consultation with the EE projects team, design research methodologies to meet both the projects and research needs. Support research delivery of organizational projects including sample selection, and research tool development (survey and interview guides) Support the training and management of research data collection teams working on EE’s research-related activities in different locations. Support data collection and management and general research protocols, ethics, and overall project management timelines for EE projects Conduct qualitative, quantitative and spatial data analysis Contribute to the production of high-quality research outputs such as reports, working papers, editorials (blogs, podcasts, op-eds), conference papers and peer peer-reviewed publications Participate in stakeholder meetings as required Support project adherence to research protocols including design, data management, protocols, ethics, and overall timelines and deadlines Support the dissemination of results via presentations and reports to academic and non-academic audiences, nationally and internationally

Emergency Energy (EE) is seeking fundraisers with communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to identify fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. He/she will be responsible for coordinating events, writing proposals, and recruiting and leading fundraising volunteers. The ideal candidate should be motivated, professional, and organized and have a knack for research. He/She should also believe in the mission of Emergency Energy and has exceptional drive for furthering the organisations fundraising efforts. Roles and Responbilities Identify new opportunities to raise funds for Emergency Energy. Guide EE’s team and other volunteers in fundraising initiatives. Coordinate with the communications team to produce social media materials encouraging the public to financially support Emergency Energy. Contact potential donors for inquiries on potential funding or support to Emergency Energy charity activities. Research and apply to for relevant funds from different grant making bodies. Liaise with the programs team to develop letter of inquiries and concept notes to potential donors. Respond to inquiries and queries from donors in consultation with other EE staff. Gather information and impact stories with support from the communications and Kenya teams to support different fund-raising channels. Administer donors and funding databases, monitoring upcoming grants and donor deadlines. Participating in different donor and fundraising forums to stay updated on latest fundraising trends and best practices.
