Mission Statement

The Summit County Pet Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization committed to animal welfare and preserving pets as part of families by partnering with local food pantries to provide pet food for pets and families in need.

Description

Our organization recognized a need in our community to make pet food equitably available to families presently in need and who otherwise would be forced to surrender their pets to the shelters.

Pet food is collected from donors and is distributed through our local community food banks. Volunteers pickup pet food from multiple locations in Summit County and delivery the pet food to the human food banks.

We hold fundraising events and attend many functions in the community to promote our organization. We have sponsors, have received grants, and have widened our donation base. We have an ongoing need for volunteers who are compassionate animal advocates, wish to be of service, are able to speak Spanish, are media and tech savvy, and who may also be willing to take on leadership roles when needed.

We are passionate about what our organization brings to the community and hope you will be as well when you join us.
