Mission Statement

Liberty Rugby Club is a non-profit youth organization whose sole purpose is to provide a quality team sport and social club experience to all youth ages 7-18 who are attending school, striving for good grades, and willing to learn the international sport of rugby. Core to our mission is to remove financial and transportation barriers to ensure participations for everyone in our community. In 2024, 39% of our athletes did not pay dues.

  • Founded in 1986, Liberty Rugby Club is a community-focused organization, dedicated to promoting the sport of rugby and fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among teammates, opposing teams and referees.
  • Led by a professional board of directors and a certified coaching staff. Liberty Rugby has enjoyed years of success on the field, continued growth and strong relationships in our local community.
  • In our nearly 40 years of existence, we estimate that about 5,000 athletes, boys and girls, have participated in our program, making us one of the most successful rugby programs in the State.
  • We embrace diversity and bring together students and families from all communities, cultures and socioeconomic ranges, including traditionally rival schools, and facilitate the building of bonds and friendships that will last a lifetime. Liberty Rugby Club strives to instill valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship.
  • In 2024, we sponsored 57 players out of 145 or 39%, with further financial help covering a total value estimated at $33,000.
