What a "day in the life" of an REF Event Coordinator will look like: Are you passionate about the environment and have a knack for planning and organizing? This volunteer role is perfect for someone who enjoys managing logistics, connecting with people, and ensuring memorable experiences that further environmental awareness and action. Raw Earth Foundation is seeking an Event Coordinator to help bring our mission to life through impactful community events. As our Event Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial part in planning, organizing, and executing various events for us. You’ll manage logistics, coordinate with vendors, and oversee event details to ensure that our outreach, fundraising, and awareness efforts run smoothly. You can expect to: Plan, organize, and oversee event details for activities like educational workshops, outreach events, and fundraising galas. Coordinate with venues, vendors, and community partners to secure locations and resources needed for each event. Develop event timelines, manage schedules, and oversee logistics on the day of the event. Work closely with other volunteers to ensure events are staffed and run smoothly. Research and coordinate local event opportunities such as farmers markets, fairs, and environmental festivals, to expand Raw Earth Foundation’s community reach. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and increase community engagement. Qualifications & Experience Necessary for the Role: - Based in the United States - Available to respond to emails/messaging/inquiries within 24 hours - Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail. - Prior event planning or coordination experience is helpful but not required. - Great communication skills and a passion for environmental causes. - Comfortable working independently and as part of a team to ensure event success - accuracy and detail orientation - Strong verbal communication and active listening skills - Knowledge of our techstack and management tools/software helpful (i.e. Monday PMS, Clockify, Slack, Canva etc.) - (Required) Ability to commit 5-10 hours per month to projects and tasks, with potential for additional hours leading up to large events. Flexibility to attend events on weekends or evenings is helpful but not required. What a "day in the life" of a Tech Administrator will look like: Responsible for managing the development of a program application, maintaining our website, optimizing our SEO, and analyzing performance metrics through Google Analytics and Tag Manager. This role will involve collaborating with team members to enhance user experience and streamline our digital interactions with supporters, volunteers, and community members. Application Development: Lead the development of an application for program engagement, tracking, and user registration. Define and implement key functionalities in alignment with the organization’s objectives. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine app features and functionality. Website Maintenance and Development: Regularly update content, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure a high-performing, user-friendly website. Implement improvements such as donation processing, volunteer sign-ups, and data collection tools. Ensure mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and user-centered design. SEO and Analytics Optimization: Enhance SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search engine ranking. Set up and monitor Google Analytics and Tag Manager to track user behavior, conversions, and other key metrics. Generate regular analytics reports and make data-driven recommendations to improve user engagement and site performance. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support to team members, addressing application or website issues as they arise. Train staff on using the website and app functionalities, ensuring team fluency and efficient use of resources. Security and Data Management: Ensure data security protocols for the website and application, including backup and recovery solutions. Implement and manage security features to protect user data and maintain compliance with privacy standards. Reporting and Insights: Analyze performance metrics and generate insights for improvements across platforms. Prepare quarterly reports on SEO, Google Analytics, and Tag Manager performance for leadership. Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with communications, fundraising, and program teams to ensure technical support aligns with their goals. Offer feasibility reports and solutions for digital initiatives proposed by various departments. The ideal candidate will excel at building and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including businesses, community organizations, and potential partners. This role will be vital in expanding our network and fostering collaborations that align with our mission. Identify and engage with local businesses and organizations to find sponsors and establish partnerships. Attend networking events and community meetings to promote Raw Earth Foundation's initiatives. Collaborate with other businesses and organize joint projects, such as tree planting and community clean-up days. Maintain and grow a contact database of potential partners and supporters. Develop and implement strategies to enhance partnerships and collaborations. You will be responsible for producing high-quality content across various platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters, to promote our programs and initiatives. Your creativity and passion for environmental conservation will help inspire individuals and communities to take meaningful action in protecting our planet. You can expect to: Develop and execute content strategies to promote Raw Earth Foundation's mission and programs. Create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content for social media, blogs, and newsletters. Collaborate with team members to ensure content aligns with organizational goals and messaging. Conduct research on environmental topics to produce informative and relevant content. Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to inform future content creation. This staff member will play a crucial role in building our educational resources, from e-books to workshops, that empower our community to support and further our mission of greening and sustaining our communities. Develop e-books, training manuals, and courses on topics such as environmental sustainability, native plants, permaculture, and foraging. Create pamphlets and informational materials that highlight our initiatives and programs. Design and organize workshops and educational sessions for diverse audiences, including volunteers, ambassadors, sponsors, and donors.
