Mission Statement

The Ebell Club of Irvine is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international organization founded 128 years ago and dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Description

We choose our projects based on members’ interests in the following service departments: Arts and Culture, Advocacy for Children, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention, Education and Literacy, Environment, and Health and Wellness. In 2006 we began adding botanical signs to identify plants along the City’s Jeffrey Open Space Trail. To date we have contributed 96 signs. Fifteen years ago we began creating cuddle quilts for victims of domestic violence. For over 40 years, we have sponsored an Angel Tree to collect Christmas gifts for children living at St. Teresa’s orphanage and or attending the school. The second week of December 150 gifts are distributed by members at a party held at St. Teresa’s in Ensenada, Mexico.
