Mission Statement
The Good Helper Foundation empowers Mainers in need, including new Americans to thrive in their adopted home by providing comprehensive transitional programs and services. Our mission is to bridge the gap between arrival and self-sufficiency, fostering long term success in every possible way.
Description
Welcome to the Good Helper Foundation! We're thrilled that you're interested in joining us as a volunteer and becoming a part of our mission to empower immigrant families in Maine. We focus on providing essential services like transitional housing, rental assistance, and food distribution to help families navigate their new lives with dignity and support.
One of our key programs is the boarding house initiative, which offers safe and stable housing for families facing homelessness. In addition to this, we provide case management services, helping residents set and achieve goals that will lead them toward long-term stability and self-reliance.
As a volunteer with the Good Helper Foundation, you'll have the unique opportunity to directly impact lives. Whether you're distributing food, assisting families in finding housing, or supporting fundraising efforts, your contribution is invaluable to expanding our reach and making a difference. We are currently in need of volunteer driver trainers to help provide road driving instruction to our community members-a crucial service that fosters independence and mobility.
Join us and be a part of a supportive team working to build brighter, more self-sufficient futures for immigrant families!
