Description
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding
located in Port Hadlock, Washington. The Boat School is an educational institution accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Colleges and Schools (ACCSC), and attracts students from around the world.
Founded in 1981, the School has taught wooden boatbuilding and marine systems skills to more than 1,600 students. We offer full-time programs that include a 12 month Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in Boatbuilding, a 9-month Diploma program in Marine Systems, and 5-day Intensive courses in Marine Systems topics. Our mission is to teach and preserve boatbuilding and marine systems while developing the individual as a craftsperson. Since 1981, over 1,800 students have graduated from the School’s vocational programs, and thousands more have attended summer and community workshops. This tradition continues today.
