Mission Statement
Street Maintenance, Inc is a 501C3 Nonprofit founded in January,2022 in East Orange, New Jersey. Currently starting with a small board of three, Founder Iyshea Harrison, CEO Radri Woodson, and President Wayne Bass Jr. Three peers from the streets of East Orange that have the same belief that our youth has been misguided and it’s time to construct what we once took part in deconstructing. As troubled teens once themselves, Harrison, Woodsonand Bass have taken advantage of their street acumen and familiarity of its dangers and incepted "Street Maintenance," declaring that it's time to clean the streets and lead our youth down the right path.
Description
Street Maintenance INC is an independent program focused on scholars afflicted by poverty, gang violence, and/or day-to-day monotony. Using the one-on-one mentorship model in collaboration with parents and educators Street Maintenance Inc's goal is to interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline via shared experiences. At no cost, we offer gang intervention, round-the-clock mentorship, hands-on workshops, life skills, team building, how to communicate effectively, coaching, and most importantly financial literacy. Also not to be forgotten that volunteers and mentors all have various occupations and plenty of street knowledge with the same mind state to construct what we took part in deconstructing.
