Mission Statement
Since 1950, The Arc of California has been promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
Description
The Arc of California has 20 chapters throughout the state of California that provide direct supports and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Due to chronic underfunding of these services for the past two decades, The Arc of California and its chapters rely heavily on fundraising activities to meet the growing needs of the people they serve. Additionally, we dedicate time to working with the legislature to create policies that will increase funding for disability services, and protect this vulnerable population.
